I am delighted to welcome you to our fabulous 2017 Annual Conference which we have themed: Innovating Legal Talent Management - what’s new, what’s different, what’s gone? With so much disruption and innovation in our industry, we thought this was a great time to see what’s happening out there in legal people management, learning and development land and reflect on whether or not our own skill sets are keeping pace. And, like every CLEAA Annual Conference, this one will continue the tradition of providing the opportunity to catch up with old and new friends.

Our Conference Committee – led admirably by Simone Dixon – has done a fabulous job so a huge and well-deserved thank you to Simone, Jan Christie and Annie Fenwicke – it was a great pleasure to work with you!

We have also decided to make this Annual Conference as accessible and inclusive as possible by having one flat fee of $250 for everyone for the full-day program in Sydney on 12 October 2017.  The College of Law is kindly hosting the Conference at Level 16, St James Centre, 111 Elizabeth Street, Sydney.  As you will see, it is a program packed with amazing presenters, diverse topics including a number of concurrent streams, drinks afterward, and all meals and materials are included at the Conference too.

You may also recall  that the IBA is holding its one day Academic Forum also in Sydney the day after our own conference on 13 October – you will find up to date details about this on the IBA website: https://www.ibanet.org.

For financial members who may not be able to join us for the Conference but would like to attend the AGM, it will begin at 12.30pm and at the same venue as the Conference (noted above). You will have recently received an email regarding CLEAA's AGM documents which you can find on the website here.
