2018 is already shaping up to be an interesting and challenging year for the continuing legal education sector with traditional models of professional practice, learning and business under pressure and new models emerging.
The impacts of change are being felt in demand for new kinds of learning content and delivery methods, pressures on speakers and learners to engage effectively with new learning technologies and in the changing nature of learning and development roles. A common thread is the need to do more with increasingly tight budgets for learning.
CLEAA can play a role in helping the legal profession and the continuing legal education and professional development communities to better understand, respond and adapt to these challenges and opportunities.
Accordingly, CLEAA’s priorities for the coming year will be twofold, the annual conference and electronic information and communications. CLEAA is well known for running a ‘kickass’ conference so 2018 will again see an October Conference, likely in Brisbane.
We are pleased to introduce a regular news update CLEAA Talk and in the new year, there are plans to revamp the website as a ‘go to’ resource for content and interactions.
